Feel grounded. Live connected.
Who I work with:
If you’re a high performing but highly stressed out human who is feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or stretched thin, you’re in the right place. I work primarily with deep thinking, insightful adults who are navigating the challenges of today’s busy world, focusing on topics like anxiety, overthinking and perfectionism, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem.
I also have an extensive background in healthcare and offer therapy related to serious illness, grief, and caretaking.
I provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can feel heard, sit with hard truths, and be challenged to consider new perspectives. If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to work together!
Hi! I’m Nicole
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with thirteen years of experience supporting individuals and families with their psychological and emotional wellbeing. I obtained my M.S.W. from Fordham University in 2012, and prior to that, I studied Psychology and Thanatology at the University of Rhode Island.
My approach as a therapist is centered around warmth, curiosity, and authenticity. I utilize evidence-based practices in my work (you’ll often hear therapy terms like CBT, ACT, or attachment-based), however, I feel strongly that having a trusting, collaborative relationship is at the heart of meaningful change.
My hope is to provide a nonjudgmental space where you can show up as yourself. Together, we can work to help clarify your values, question old patterns, and find new ways of navigating life that feel more connected and in control.
I live near Cold Spring Harbor, NY with my spouse, two children, and senior rescue dog. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing yoga, and reading.
How I Can Support You
1:1 therapy sessions focused on helping you navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and personal relationship challenges. We will explore old patterns and practice coping tools to help manage present day distress.
These sessions take place with both parties in a partnership present. We will focus on improving communication, examining old habits and patterns, rebuilding trust, and deepening your connection. Couples counseling can be beneficial at any stage in a relationship.
Family therapy sessions are focused on navigating past or present conflict, strengthening communication, and fostering healthier, more supportive relationships. Each family member is given space for their voice to be heard while working toward greater understanding and connection.
What does therapy cost?
I am currently in network with select insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare and Oxford.
Out of Pocket Rates: $200 per individual therapy session, $250 for couples and family sessions.
If you have out of network benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill so that you may submit for reimbursement with your insurance company.
